Ice

  • Ice cafay Used to mean iced coffee.
  • Today "ice" is a slushy and "aiss cafay" is a coffee slushy.
  • The storefronts selling drinks and junk food have the machines, as do those selling fresh sandwiches and salads. There seems to be local control over the flavoring. Some machines produce more intense drinks.
  • Watch out for "ice-cream headaches."
  • An excellent combination on a hot day is fresh-squeezed or pressed fruit juice (http://jerusalemblog.blogspot.com/2006/07/juice.html ) in one cup and aiss in another.
