Haircut

  • If you want your hair cut carefully and professionally by a native American, call Eric of Alaska at 02 652 1267. He made my hair beautiful -- just by the cut.
  • Eric's shop is upstairs at Kikar Dania ( http://jerusalemblog.blogspot.com/2006/06/beit-hakerem.html ). Lots of buses go there. When you phone, ask him which.

Tsimerim (Tseemireem)

  • Tsimmer -- from the German Zimmer -- is the Hebrew near-equivalent of B&B. The plural is tsimerim. Some come with breakfast, others without.
  • http://www.zimmeril.com/sSearch_EN.asp?Stype=1&Sreg=8 is a source for B&B's in Jerusalem.
  • http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/Flathunting/ also has information, along with many more posts about flats for sale or rent. On this site you can post a request for information about a specific sort of accommodation, whether B&B or apartment, in Jerusalem and vicinity.
  • If you're traveling with kids, and staying for a week or more, a funished flat may be just what you want for a Jerusalem experience.
